Kullu, About 50 persons were injured when a bus carrying 60 passengers skidded off the road and rolled down a hill near Jawalapur in Mandi district on Monday.
The bus was on its way to Kullu from Jawalapur and it got stuck on the trees, preventing it from falling further. Around 14 persons, who were critically injured, were admitted at a Kullu hospital while the remaining injured were being treated at Community Health Centre at Nagwain.
Mandi DSP Hitesh Lakhanpal stated that police rushed to the spot and further investigation was being carried out.
Eyewitnesses said the bus was overcrowded and the driver appeared to have lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a turn.
