GNDU appointed three eminent personalities as member of Syndicate

Amritsar, September 18 – Eminent administrator, Sh. R. Subrahmanyam IAS, Additional Secretary (TE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has been appointed as member of Senate and Syndicate of the Guru Nanak Dev University by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu.

A renowned agriculture economist, policy-adviser and Padam Bhushan Awardee, Dr. Sardara Singh Johl and Sh. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, MLA have been co-opted as the members of Syndicate of the University. The three personalities appointed to the Syndicate by the Vice Chancellor are the renowned in their respective fields.

Sh. Subrahmanyam has administrative experience of 32 years on various prestigious posts in Govt. of India. He is highly qualified administrator who has done M.Sc. in Macro Economics from University of Bradford UK on Commonwealth Fellowship.

Prof. S.S. Johl is an internationally acclaimed agricultural economist, educationist, advisor and administrator. He is the first Chancellor of the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda and former Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University Patiala and Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana. Dr. Johl has rendered his services as Member Economic Advisory Council during the term of four Prime Ministers of India and many other key positions.

Sh. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa is an Indian politician and a member of Indian National Congress. He is a Member of Punjab Legislative Assembly (MLA) for third time and represents Dera Baba Nanakconstituency.
