Youth congress hailed decision of banning “Kaum de Heere”

Chandigarh – Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary President PYC hailed the timely decision taken by the centre government, banning the screening of the controversial movie “Kaum de Heere” .Expressing great satisfaction with accomplishment of the logical stand initiated by the Punjab Youth Congress by writing letter to the Office of Prime Minister and Home Minister seeking its immediate intervention. Punjab Youth Congress had strongly objected the exhibition of such art forms which would have done irreversible harm to the state of Punjab in particular which has yet not forgotten the dark days of terrorism. Punjab is now fighting yet another battle i.e narco-terrorism which has gripped more than 70% of its youth. Today youth is disgruntled and rudderless with no job and dark future. Exhibition of such movies pose threat to the peace which has been hard earned by the sacrifice of our leaders like Late. Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi, Late S. Beant Singh (chief Minister Punjab) and innumerable innocent men, women and children.

PYC reiterated its stand against eulogising terrorists as “martyrs” either by the governments or exhibition in different art forms. Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary also made a request to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to revisit the Cinematograph Act and the discretion of official bodies of censor board to be more authenticated than submitting before the supremacy of individual interpretation. The fact should not be ignored that such provocative movies are FUNDED and supported by the terrorists outfits station abroad who are always waiting for a chance to ruin the peace of the this border state.

Punjab Youth Congress once again expressed deep gratitude for the timely intervention and banning of the controversial film.
