Chandigarh, January 31
Since Bhai Baldeep Singh’s nomination papers have been rejected, the Swaraj Lehar is thinking of asking its cadres to press none of the above (NOTA) button at the Khadoor Sahib bypoll.
Sources said Swaraj Lehar that supported Bhai Baldeep Singh was likely to issue an appeal in this regard soon. At a press conference, Prof Manjit Singh, president, Swaraj Lehar, Punjab, said they had decided to ask their workers and sympthasiers to vote only for candidates who followed the principles of Swaraj. When asked if there was any candidate who followed Swaraj principles, he refused to comment.
On supporting AAP rebel Sumail Sidhu, a senior leader said he didn’t fit the bill.
Ajit Jha, national general secretary of Swaraj Lehar, said they were in the process of forming a party as per the parameters set in a resolution passed in the 2nd national steering committee of Lehar.
