In summer, we often switch to foods that cool the body and provide enough hydration to maintain the electrolyte balance. While protein is necessary for the body as it helps in building muscle strength and causes growth, we skip foods like eggs, chicken and fish during the hot months as they are considered to be “hot” for the body.
However, nutritionist Nmami Agarwal took to Instagram and shared a video about how protein-rich foods have so many benefits for the body.
“It is a misconception that eating eggs, chicken and fish in summer can be unhealthy. It is completely okay to have these food items in summer, though in moderation,” as per the expert.
The nutritionist added that these foods are important and provide different vitamins and minerals to keep your energy level high. “Eggs especially may cause heat in the body, but if eaten in moderation, may prove to be excellent wholesome foods,” she wrote.
