Chandigarh, March 28, 2016: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Punjab Women Wing President, Prof. Baljinder Kaur has demanded resignation of Harsimrat Badal, Union minister and wife of Deputy Chief Minister Punjab, Sukhbir Badal for failing to protect of rights of Punjabis being a minister in centre government. In a press statement, Kaur said that every Punjabi wants to know why Harsimrat had not uttered a single word when Modi government filed a case against Punjab in Supreme Court on SYL issue.
Prof. Baljinder Kaur Said that the stand of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on the issue of SYL is clear that Punjab doesn’t have extra water to give it to any other state. She said that AAP is the only party whose national and state body has the same stand on the issue while Akali Dal, BJP and Congress have different stands in different states and at centre.
“Clarify what is the stand of Prime Minister Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah on SYL issue? Why SAD MLA in Haryana assembly has not yet cleared his stand? Asked Kaur. “Harsimrat should ask his Father-in Law, Parkash Singh Badal that had not he taken Rs. 2 crore from his family friend and then Chief Minister of Haryana, Devi Lal for the purpose of acquiring land to built SYL?” asked Kaur
Kaur also asked Harsimrat the reason for keeping mum on the issue of Swiss accounts of Captain Amrinder, Parneet kaur and her son Raninder even after AAP has given proofs and details of the accounts.
“During the election campaign for 2014 General Elections Modi promised to implement DR. Swaminathan recommendations after forming the government, what is status of it at present?” asked Kaur.
