However, James Anderson started the proceedings on Day 3 of the ongoing Test, dismissing Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal early in the inning, the moment thereafter broke for the Men in Blue with quick fall of wickets in the opening session and the scoreboard reading 130/4 at Lunch.
But, after both the openers departed cheaply this time, the third wicket came of Shreyas Iyer. On the first delivery of the 28th over being bowled by Tom Hartley, Iyer smashed it out over the infield in an attempt to clear the boundary. Ben Stokes went all out covering 25 yards from mid-off to hold on to an incredible catch to dismiss the set batter and ending the 81-run partnership between Iyer and Gill.

Earlier on Day 2 of the ongoing Test, Stokes fell off a beauty from Jasprit Bumrah. The England skipper, who once again failed to capitalise his knock in the middle, was left shell shocked and dropped his bat in despair after his dismissal.
Speaking of the match, at the end of 40 overs, Indian scoreboard read 151/4 with Axar Patel (14) and Shubman Gill (69) in the middle.
