Wash hands with genuine repentence to water before touching sacred gutka:SADto Amaridner

Chandigarh December 17 – The Shiromani Akali Dal today asked PPCC
Chief Captain Amarinder Singh to “prove the sincerity of his oath in
the name of sacred Sikh Gutka Sahib ( sacred religious scripture) by
going over to Sri Harmandar Sahib and declaring that you will never
associate yourself with a party which rolled tanks and mortar guns
into the holy Parikrama of the most sacred and highest shrine of Sikh
religion to bring down the holy Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. Otherwise, your
ritualistic gesture on Bathinda stage would be nothing more than Devil
citing scriptures for his selfish purpose.“
In statement here , the SAD General Secretary Professor Prem
Singh Chandumajra said ,“The hands of your bosses are drenched with
the blood of thousands of innocent Sikhs on the Parikrama of Darbar
Sahib in the army assault on Harmandar Sahib which killed thousands
of innocent Sikh devotees – men, women and children. You must not
have forgotten how the Sikh reference library was brutally assaulted
and many sacred Gutka Sahibs and other sacred scriptures were
disgraced, dishonoured and even “martyred” with fire in the assault
carried out on the day of martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev ji Maharaj.
Therefore, before taking on oath in the name of Gutka Sahib, you
needed to cleanse your hands not with simple water, as you
ritualistically did on the Congress stage at Bathinda, but in sincere
and deep repentance at emotional and spiritual levels. But that can’t
be done as long as you keep coming to the Sikhs at the head of the
Operation Bluestar Congress army,”
Prof Chandumajra said that when Captain Singh raised his hand in
the direction of Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib, he must have seen an
accusing finger pointing back at him because in June 1984 the army and
other paramilitary forces had committed the gravest outrage against
this holy shrine as well as against forty other sacred Gurdwaras in a
single day of brutal army assault against the Sikhs. “Then, What were
you trying to remind the Sikh community yesterday? That after
enacting a brief tamasha of resigning from the Congress in June 1984
as a protest against army assault, you went back to the same party .
What assurances for the community or apology for the sins of your
masters did you secure before undoing the bravado of your earlier
resignation? None. The fact is that that tamasha was enacted merely
to befool the Sikh masses. For your services to the Congress party in
this unholy task, you were rewarded with not only the Presidentship
of the PPCC but even the Chief Minister’s post. If you had indeed the
Congress High Command in June 1984, why would they not only allow you
back into their fold but even give you rewards which no Congressman
has ever received before or since from the High Command. This was the
“jagir” you received for letting down the most innocent and trusting
Sikh quom,” said Prof Chandumajra addressing Captain Singh.
The Akali leader appealed to the Congress Captain to look deep into
his heart to find something called “religious conscience.” “
