Lambi (Muktsar)
After losing the 2019 Lok Sabha polls to Harsimrat Kaur Badal from the Bathinda constituency, Gidderbaha MLA Amrinder Singh Raja Warring has set eyes to take on the Badals in their home turf Lambi.
While paying gratitude to the Congress workers in Lambi today, Warring said he would soon meet Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and request the latter to let him handle the Lambi Assembly segment without any interference from Chandigarh.
He appealed the party activists to choose zonal in-charges on their own, who would look after five villages each and inform him about major developments and requirements of the area.
Notably, Badals too have put the same system in place and have deputed 17 zonal in-charges to after Lambi on behalf of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. Warring said, “We should first stop internal fighting. Make a group on WhatsApp of around 35-40 people wherein soon to be appointed zonal in-charges will update me, Gurmeet Singh Khudian and Jagpal Singh Abulkhurana about all the latest developments.”
He said, “In case a sarpanch or any party worker does not get respect in any government office, he will inform us through the zonal in-charge. I assure that an officer who does not respect Congressmen, will not be allowed to stay in power for next five hours… I will always be at your disposal.”
