Vigilance bureau nabs constable in graft case

Chandigarh, Continuing its consistant compaign to get hold of the corruption in the government offices, the Vigilance Bureau nabbed a constable red handed while receiving bribe of Rs. 10,000.

While disclosing this an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Constable Bhupinder Singh posted at Police Station Bugha, District Fatehgarh Sahib was apprehended on the the complaint of Kulwinder Singh of village Gallwatti, District Patiala. The complainant alleged that the constable was demamdind bribe for cancellation of a case in which both the parties have already entered into mutual aggrement.

The spokesperson said that the complainant tipped off the police about the transanction of bribe. Acting on the tip off team of Vigilance Bureau headed by Sub Inspector Pritpal Singh caught the constable red handed while accepting the bribe.
