US alerts India of possible terror attack in Delhi, J&K

New Delhi, Ahead of Barack Obama’s visit to Delhi next month, the US government has once again alert the Indian government of a possible terror attack in the national capital and in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, where the polling for the fourth phase of the Assembly election is going on.
Earlier this month, Delhi was put on high alert in the wake of four terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in which 11 security men and two civilians were killed. In the heavy exchange of fire and hours long encounter, the Army personnel gunned down six militants.

Few days back the US intelligence agencies had issued a similar alert triggering a comprehensive security review of the national capital by the Delhi Police and Intelligence Bureau.

Reportedly, after the first terror attack alert by the US intelligence agencies, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi had met National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and briefed him of the security measures taken for Delhi.

As per reports, VVIP enclosure and the main stage where Obama, PM Narendra Modi Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee will be seated on January 26 has been sealed off by the Delhi Police and Nagaland Armed Police personnel .

In an unexpected invitation to President Obama, PM Modi invited him to be the chief guest at our Republic Day celebrations in January.
