Upset by rejection, man shoots 22-year-old girl outside her home in Amritsar, accused caught on CCTV

Amritsar: In a shocking incident reported from Punjab, a man allegedly shot and injured a 22-year-old girl after she rejected his advances.

The incident took place at Friends Colony in Amritsar. The accused youth shot the girl outside her home.

It is said the accused was harassing the girl for a long time. Despite being rejected by the girl, the accused continued to stalk her and made unwanted advances.

The injured girl has been admitted to hospital and is said to be in a critical condition. Police said they are probing the matter.

The girl’s family member said the accused Rajbinder Singh was stalling the victim Amoldeep Kaur. The girl has reportedly suffered two bullets in the attack.

It is alleged that the accused Rajbinder is the son of an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) who lives in the Police Lines. The girl’s family had earlier filed a complaint with the police but no action was reportedly taken against the accused. The accused had also given a written apology after the police complaint but he did not stop stalking the girl.

The accused was caught on CCTV camera at the colony where the incident took place. The accused is said to be the son of a police office
