Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati today demanded a CBI probe into the Unnao incident in which 104 bodies were found floating in the Ganga.Addressing mediapersons on her 59th birthday, Mayawati said people were “horrified” by the sudden emergence of scores of bodies in Unnao. “I demand a CBI inquiry into this incident so that the truth comes out in the open,” she said.Mayawati also flayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for partaking ‘dahi-chura’ and ‘khichdi’ at the residence of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Makar Sankranti.“Like the ‘yuvraj’, Narendra Modi also believes that they can empower Dalits by eating ‘khichdi’ at their houses. Modi should resist from indulging in such ‘dramabaazi’ (theatrics) and take solid measures to uplift the Dalits,” she said.She said the Modi-led NDA government should honour Dalit icons. She said the Union Government should acquire the King Henry street house of Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar in London which is reportedly up for auction.
