UK man falls 30 feet from roof, breaks all bones in his body and lives to tell the tale. Full story here

A man from Wythenshawe, Manchester got a new lease of life after he fell from the roof 30 feet to the ground. The man identified as Ian Locke broke almost all the bones in his body and went into a coma.

However, the 53-year-old father of two bounced back to tell the tale.

It all happened in September last year when Ian was trying to fit an antenna for his friend on his roof. He accidentally slipped on the roof and plummeted 30 feet and smashed almost every bone in his body. Ian went into a deep coma after the accident.

After the mishap, Ian was airlifted to the Manchester Royal Infirmary due to the unavailability of an ambulance. However, the doctors were not at all optimistic about Ian’s state. They advised Ian’s family to expect the worst. But Ian never stopped fighting.

According to a report by The Mirror, “My daughter was in the room she saved my life. The only reason she was in the room was because I was dying. She gave me a kiss bye-bye and I said, ‘I’m not going nowhere. I’m like a machine’. She told I wasn’t going to die. When I was in a coma, I had some terrible dreams coming in and out of consciousness. I kept seeing things and the things I kept seeing played on my mind. I was watching this big dream myself.,” Ian said.

The doctors, however, said that Ian may not ever walk again. That didn’t dampen Ian’s newly found enthusiasm to enjoy life.

“I’m going to cherish every moment with my kids, my grandkids, my Mrs and my mum,” Ian told the Mirror.
