Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Toronto: Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto and the GTA ahead of a heavy downpour that could see upwards of 50 millimeters of rain fall on some localized areas.
According to the weather agency, a cold front moving through Southern Ontario will result in showers and isolated thunderstorms throughout this afternoon and into this evening with rainfall amounts of 30 to 40 millimetres expected for most of the GTA.
Localized amounts of 50 milimetres are possible in some areas and Environment Canada says further warnings may be issued.
