Tories in tight race ahead of expected election: Poll

Mississauga, With the federal election a little over five months away, a new poll shows the Harper Conservatives are in a very tight race.
Nearly 33 percent of respondents to the Nanos Research survey say they support the Tories — sitting right behind them is the Liberal party with a little over 31 percent.
In the first Nanos poll since the “orange crush” in Alberta’s election, the federal NDP have just over 25 percent support.

The random telephone survey of 1,000 Canadians is accurate 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
