Three major party leaders in southern Ontario today, 2 weeks from voting day

Ontario: The three major party leaders are campaigning in southern Ontario today as a new poll suggests the Progressive Conservativeas and New Democrats are tied two weeks before election day.

Tory Leader Doug Ford is to make an announcement this morning at a metal fabrication business in Tillsonburg, Ont., then head to Brantford, Ont., for a meet and greet, before attending a Hamilton rally this evening.

N-D-P Leader Andrea Horwath is making an announcement focused on health care and long-term care in Toronto and Whitby.

And Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne is spending the day in Toronto, where she’s to make an announcement at Wattpad, visit a bakery and attend an evening rally.

The Leger online poll that will be released today suggests the Tories and New Democrats are tied at 37 per cent voter support, while the struggling Liberals trail with 21 per cent support.

The polling industry’s professional body, the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association, says online surveys cannot be assigned a margin of error as they are not a random sample and, therefore, are not necessarily representative of the whole population.
