Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Anandpur Sahib, March 23: Senior Congress leader and former Punjab finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal today said the raking up of the river water issue was the last drama being enacted by the Akali Dal-BJP government in Punjab to retain power.
Addressing the party rally here, he said the Akali Dal sometimes exploited sentiments of the people by raising slogan of ‘Panth in Danger’ or similar such issues rather than addressing real problems of the people and then seeking votes.
He squarely blamed the state government for the menace of drugs and the crisis had assumed alarming proportions. He also mentioned loot by the sand, transport and cable mafia.
He attacked both Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia for all these mafia operations.
