Nathana, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal today said the party would continue its fight against drug menace until it is eradicated from the state. On senior SAD leader Sukhdev Singh Dhinda calling the dharnas against drug smuggling hasty, Sukhbir said sometimes not everyone was consulted before reaching a decision.He said the drugs in the state were smuggled as no drugs were produced in here. He said these were smuggled from across the international borders or from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.Sukhbir blamed the BJP-ruled states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan for failing to stop the cultivation of narcotics such as opium, poppy, ganja, etc.Sukhbir also said the state was a victim of drug abuse and narco terrorism. He said drug cultivation in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh was a Rs 200 crore business. He said it was the responsibility of central agencies such as the BSF to stop drugs smuggling from across the international border.Replying to a query, he said the SAD was against religious conversions. “In India, all religions have the right to prosper and propagate,” he said.
