Sukhbir must quit after admitting police failure: Manpreet

Chandigarh, October 25: People’s Party of Punjab chief Manpreet Singh Badal asked Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal to have moral courage to step down after admitting police failure to contain the deteriorating situation in the state as evident from the replacement of Sumedh Singh Saini by Suresh Arora as the state police chief.

He asserted it was not a routine police reshuffle and the change had been ordered at the time when the situation in the state had been totally messed up.

He said Sukhbir happened to be the Home Minister and as such, he should own moral responsibility rather than shifting his blame on Sani who was his blue-eyed boy till the other day and resign.
