Sukhbir Badal reorganises student organization of India

* Divides states level body in 5 zones

Chandigarh, Shiromani Akali Dal President and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced reorganization of student wing of party Student Organisation of india (SOI). Mr. Badal who had already nominated Parmbans Singh Banti Romana as coordinator of the wing now further divides its state level body in five zones.

In a statement issued by party head office here, Dr. Daljeet Singh Cheema party secretary and spokesman said that as per new organized structure of the wing Mr. Badal has divided Malwa in three zones. He said that Arshdeep Singh Joban has been nominated as president of zone Malwa-1 comprising Bathinda, Mansa, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Fazilka, Ferozepur and Faridkot districts. Sarbjit Singh Jhinjar has been nominated as President of zone Malwa-2 covering Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib and Mohali. Meetpal Singh Dugri has been appointed president of zone Malwa-3 comprising Ludhiana, Moga and Ropar.

Dr. Cheema further added that the fourth and fifth zones of organization are Doaba and Majha. He said that Harkamal Singh Virk has been appointed as president of Doaba region, whereas, Gursharan Singh Sheena has been appointed as president of Majha zone. Meanwhile, Vikramjeet Singh Midukhera has been appointed as president of Chandigarh SOI wing and Bhim Singh Waraich as general secretary SOI and observer Chandigarh.

Dr. Cheema said that meeting of newly appointed zone incharges would be held here at party head office on March 11.
