Ludhiana, Officials in the Police Department say that the six policemen escorting gangster Sukha Kahlwan were armed with obsolete weapons and could not have fought the 20 gangsters who were well-equipped. Sukha was shot dead by unidentified persons near Goraya.
These officials blame Intelligence agencies for Sukha’s murder. They say the agencies failed to anticipate the killing.On January 22,
Sukha was being taken back to the Nabha jail in a police van after a court hearing when the vehicle was stopped by 20 men travelling in SUVs.
Sukha was pulled out of the van and shot.The policemen escorting him were disarmed. Their weapons were found a few metres away from the site of the crime.
