Service on the Stouffville GO train line has resumed after a man and a dog were struck by a train near Kennedy Station on Friday afternoon, Metrolinx says.
Emergency crews were called to the station sometime around 3:45 p.m. Friday. Police said the man and a dog were found near the train and both were pronounced dead at scene.
Metrolinx spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins says the service suspension could last as much as two hours. Commuters can use their tickets to board TTC services in the meantime.
GO Transit says commuters will be able to head north on the Richmond Hill line and board buses at Langstaff Station to reach stations on the Stouffville line.
