State BJP chief Kamal Sharma starts cleanliness drive from Ferozepur

Ferozepur, State BJP chief Kamal Sharma today kickstarted the Clean India campaign from Ferozepur by paying tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and thereafter, administering the oath to dedicate atleast 100 hours per year for the cleanliness for the employees of the mini-secretarial Ferozepur.

According to a press release from the state president’s office, addressing the employees, Sharma said that brainchild of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the success of this campaign is going to provide a new direction for the entire country as this was for the first time that the countrymen have owe themselves to be the party of such a unique campaign.

“In general, it seems a very common initiative but the way our Prime Minister has managed to involve the common masses in this programme, this campaign is set to bring in extraordinary results. I appeal the people not to keep this campaign restricted to your personal houses but to pay heed to clean the places in surrounding as well,” appealed Sharma.

Remembering Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on the occasion of their birth anniversaries, Sharma said for any Indian, it was a matter of proud that the country got the opportunity to have guidance from such a visionary and dedicated leaders. “Now it was our duty to enlighten our future generations with the guidance and philosophy of such leaders. Celebrating this day with the start of drives like cleanliness is the best tributes for such leaders,” said Sharma.

Later, the state BJP chief conducted cleanliness drive in Maharishi Valmiki Mandir, Civil Hospital and Senior Secondary School and following him, the party workers also conducted cleanliness drive in various streets of the city. Prominent among those who attended the drive included,Ferozepur MP S.Sher Singh Ghubaya, wife of the state BJP chief Smt.Shashi Sharma, Commissioner Ferozepur division Sh.V.K.Sharma,District BJP chief Jugraj Singh,Jimmy Sandhu,Ashwani Grover and many other party workers.
