Chandigarh, August 4, 2015: BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh has alleged that AICC president Sonia Gandhi was committing political sin by stalling important bills and in the process hindering socio-economic development of the country.
He said that Congress was holding country to ransom just to gain some brownie points on the strength of its members in Rajya Sabha. Terming the phenomenon as ‘political blackmail’ against interests of the nation, Chugh said that the whole country was a witness to what Congress was doing.
Chugh further alleged that the Congress president was indulging in negative politics and unnecessary targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was leading the nation to a path of progress through his visionary approach.
Reminding Sonia Gandhi of scams worth Rs. 12 lakh crores in 10 years of UPA misrule, Chugh said that the Gandhi family was reaping what it has sown by first allowing corruption and scams of such magnitude and then defending those scandals with full intensity.
Commenting on Sonia’s remark targeting Prime Minister Modi, Chugh said that terming the vision, honesty, hard work and patriotism of Narendra Modi as marketing only shows the frustration of AICC president who could not deliver even as his party led the UPA government for two successive terms ruling for 10 years.
He said that Congress should have respected the mandate of the people who voted it to power again and again and let it rule the country for six decades. “We expected that Congress would take the mandate of the people as a lesson as the public has given a clear cut message by reducing it to a record low of 44 in parliament,” Chugh added.
The BJP leader said that Prime Minister Modi has made india proud with his innovative ideas and practical approach and he has been accepted and appreciated as a statesman who has enhanced India’s image throughout the World. He said that it was unfortunate that the Congress president was not ready to accept the reality, which has been acknowledged by the most powerful countries and top world leaders.
