While the actress may have been seen conning the gullible bridegrooms and running away with their valuables in her last release ‘Dolly Ki Doli’, it was time for actress Sonam Kapoor to get a shock of her life as a valuable piece of ornament went missing from her house recently. According to the complaint filed by the actress and her mother, Sunita Kapoor, a diamond necklace worth over Rs 5 lac is reported of being stolen from their residence on 4th February night. The complaint was registered by the mother-daughter duo on 5thFebruary.
According to the news, Sonam had attended a party in Bandra wearing several pieces of jewellery given to her by a renowned jeweler as a part of endorsement deal. The actress, after returning late at night from the party, had kept aside the entire set in a drawer of her room.
However, Sonam was in for a shock, as she realized about the diamond necklace having gone missing early next morning, after the jeweler’s representative came to collect the set from her. As a part of their investigation, the Juhu police have started inquiring with the actress’s domestic helps. They will aalos be going through the CCTV’s footage and ensure whether Sonam had gone to the party wearing the said piece on that particular night.
