Chandigarh, May 4 – Punjab Youth Development Board Chairman and Students Organisation of India (SOI) Coordinator Parambans Singh Romana today while urging the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) not to politicise a personal tragedy, said SOI would be forced to gherao the residence of AAP MP Bhagwant Mann as well as Congress leaders if they continue to incite people on this issue.
In a statement issued here, Mr Parambans Romana while expressing his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family, said it was unfortunate that the AAP and the Congress were acting like vultures and had flocked together at Moga to derive political mileage from the death of a 13 year old teenage girl.
Describing the death of Arshdeep Kaur as the death of a sister, the newly appointed Youth Development Board Chairman said it was high time both the AAP and Congress stopped playing politics on this tragedy. “Even Arshdeep’s family members have appealed to you to let them be and allow them the dignity to mourn the death of their child but it seems to have had no effect on you”, he added.
Romana said in case AAP continued with its attempts to spread anarchy in Punjab, the SOI would be left with no choice but to gherao the residence of its MP Bhagwant Mann. He said Mann was not realising that he was playing with fire while trying to incite the people to commit violence against the State. “We will take the youth who are against Mr Mann’s brand inflammatory politics to his residence and ask him to desist from such anti Punjab and anti nation activities”, he added.
Explaining the rationale behind the decision to take Bhagwant Mann head on, the SOI Coordinator said earlier also Mann had tried to creat law and order problems in Punjab. He said now Mann had stepped up his attempts to incite people because he had lost his base and was frustrated at the turn of attempts. “We however will not allow anyone to destroy the hard won peace of Punjab under the leadership of S Parkash Singh Badal”, he added.
Speaking about the issue of suicide committed by a farmer during a AAP rally at Delhi, Romana said it was a fact that Gajender committed suicide because he was instigated to do so by senior AAP leaders. He said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejrival was directly responsible for the tragedy and it was condemnable that the CM kept delivering his speech even after the farmer hanged himself in front of him. “We demand Kejriwal should be booked in the case for instigating Ganjender to end his life. If need be we will take the issue to the national capital and raise the demand there also”, the SOI Coordinator added.
