Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
New Delhi/UP, 4 August -Manjinder Singh Sirsa, MLA & General Secretary, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee met Shri Yogi Adityanath Chief Minister of Uttar Pardesh for implementation of Anand Marriage Act in the Uttar Pardesh State and appraise CM UP how UP Sikh are facing problems in the registration of their marriage. Inspite of proper law having passed by Indian parliament and duly signed by hon’ble President of India, this act has not been implemented most of the states of India till date. Mr. Sirsa requested CM Uttar Pardesh to get this act implemented in UP at the earliest so that Sikh couples will get their marriages registered as per the SIKHI Rehat Maryada (Sikh Code of Conduct) considering the sentiments of Sikh community.
