Simar writes to CEC against poll observers

Dhuri (Sangrur), April 10Congress candidate for Dhuri Assembly byelection Simar Pratap Singh Barnala today filed a complaint with Chief Election Commissioner against the election observers appointed by the commission in the constituency.Simar alleged that despite various types of violations of the code of conduct by the ruling party, the election observers had been playing a mute spectator. He alleged the SAD supporters had been openly intimidating the voters to vote for the SAD of get ready to face dire consequences.He alleged that the poll observers turned blind eye to incidents of SAD men influencing the voters with money and muscle power. He claimed there were all chances of booth-capturing and violence in the constituency. He urged the CEC to order immediate action.
