Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh,Cracking a whip on erring late comer staff posted in Punjab Civil Secretariat, the Secretariat Administration today issued show cause notice to 55 employees of Secretariat who were not found on their seats at 09.07 Hours in a surprise check conducted by Chief Secretary Punjab Mr. Sarvesh Kaushal. The absentee employees have been issued show cause notice under section 10 of Punjab Civil Service (Punishment and Appeals) Rule 1970.
According to an official spokesman four Under Secretaries have also been issued explanation call for their failure in not ensuring punctuality of staff working under them and for their lax supervision. Those found absent by Chief Secretary in surprise check included 4 superintendents 20 Senior Assistants, 7 of personal staff and 24 other employees.
A spokesman said that they have been asked to submit their reply within seven days after that government would take necessary disciplinary action against them. \The spokesman said that the Punjab Government were fully determined to maintain punctuality of its staff in all offices throughout the state and Chief Minister Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal watch personally monitoring this.
