The ruling Shiromani Akali Dal Badal and BJP government is taking ride on the tax payers money for the promotion of themselves and their leaders. This was stated by S Raja Amrinder Singh Warring, at a protest launched by youth congress workers at Ropar today. He blamed the chief minister of Punjab S Parkash Singh Badal for playing with the tax payers money and not throwing open this bridge to the common public when it is already completed. Why the chief minister is waiting for the inauguration ceremony to be done and VIP akali minister inaugurates it when the bridge is already complete. We will not let this happen and youth congress will fight for the rights of common man.
Clarifying his position Warring said that he or his party is not in the race to inaugurate this bridge, neither we have come here to inaugurate it, it is just for the sake of the tax payers money why this bridge is not thrown open to the public when it is competed. Why the akali”s are waiting for some VIP leader to come and inaugurate it, by then the common public is facing hardships on the road. This bridge will facilitate a smooth movement of traffic between Ropar and Balchaur, people will not have to enter the Ropar city and the congestion in the city will also decrease. This will help in lesser commuting time also by the common people.
Warring questioned the Chief Minister of Punjab S Parksh Singh Badal that Mr Modi is visiting the Sri Anandpur Sahib on 19th June, state is laying red carpet for his visit, why the state does not ask for special package for the farmers of Punjab who are facing the worst of times in agriculture. Mr Badalshould demand package for the farmers debt, atleast the interest part of the loan should be waived off immediately. He reminded Mr Badal that Rs 72000 crore of farmer loan was waived of by the then Dr Man Mohan Singh government, now they are alliance partners with BJP why does not the union government give a package to bail out the farmer of Punjab.
Others who were present at the protest were Anant Dahiya, Rajwinder Singh Lucky, Birender Dhillon, Kamaljit Singh Brar, Amarpreet Lalli, Khashbaz Jatana, Kulbeer Zeera, Gurjot dhindsa, Harman Bajwa and Satvir Singh Pllichiki.
