Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President and Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur Mr. Sunil Jakhar said that the sea of people gathered at Ram Lila Ground in Delhi today to participate in ‘Jan Akrosh Rally’ has laid down the foundation of Congress Party’s mission 2019.
From Punjab not only the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh joined the rally, but thousands of party workers, along with cabinet ministers and MLAs including Sunil Jakhar had been participated in rally. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Mr. Taripat Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Mr. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, Mr. Bharat Bhushan Aasu, Mr.Balbir Singh Sidhu were also present with Mr. Jakhar.
On this occasion, Mr. Sunil Jakhar while speaking about the success of this rally said that not only, national president of INC Mr. Rahul Gandhi has proved his leadership skills but this rally also expressed resentment among the people against the Modi government. Mr. Jakhar said that in 2014 the BJP gained power by making false promises and showing the dreams of ‘good days’ to the people of the country. But after the formation of the government, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, did nothing except delivering his lectures and releasing some catchy new slogans.
Mr. Jakhar said that NDA government has failed on each and every front and all its promises have proved hollow. This is why there is anger in the people of the country against Modi Government and this anger of mass will root out the BJP government from the center in 2019. Mr. Jakhar said that today youth is demanding jobs and the Union government has run away from the promise of providing 2 crore jobs every year while unemployment is increasing day by day in country. He said that demonetization and GST has reduced employment opportunities in industry. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi usually speak everywhere about honesty in public life but he himself become silent on the issue of corruption happened during tenure of his own government.
Mr. Jakhar said that the Union government has waived the debts of selected industrialists but the Modi government, who claims to double the income of the farmers by 2022, has no plans for debt waiver of the peasantry. Describing BJP as anti-farmer party, Mr. Jakhar said that no section of society is safe socially and economically in the Modi regime. He said that the Union Government is not run by the actual representatives who were elected by the people but the actual remote control is of RSS behind this government.
Mr. Sunil Jakhar thanked the workers for the participation in a large number in Jan Akrosh Rally.
