Dhuri,The Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal said that the sangat darshan being conducted in Dhuri assembly constituency is not associated to politics rather the state government’s sole aim has ever been to usher in development and prosperity.
Addressing people from different villages of the Dhuri assembly segment on the first day of sangat darshan program, the CM said that it has been decided to hold a sangat darshan program in one assembly segment each of Majha and Doaba, while sangat darshan programs would be held in two assembly constituencies of Malwa every month and under this pattern, the sangat darshan was being organized in Dhuri. He said that the sangat darshan program was not related to the impending elections in constituency after its MLA has submitted resignation.
Terming sangat darshan programs far from political hue, he said that he has always accorded top priority to sangat darshan program as it was the best way to redress the people’s grievances at a single platform on one head besides ensuring unbridled development in a democratic set up thereby bridging the communication gap between government and the masses.
Answering a media query on Delhi assembly elections, Mr Badal said that the SAD-BJP alliance would contest the elections with complete coordination and unity. He said that the alliance would mark a big victory and the coalition government would be set up in Delhi.
On being asked about stay granted to ED officer Niranjan Singh on his transfer, Mr Badal said that he was not related to the subject as it was a matter of center government and state government was not at all concerned with it. He added that the government was working on project of lining of the canals by spending Rs 33 cr. that would be implemented soon.
The Chief Minister conducted sangat darshan and announced grants worth crores to the villages of Bhasaur, Banbhouri, Belewal Darogewal, Eesra, Loharmajra, Eesi, Theri Jattan and Dandogal.
