Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Kajol’s recently released film Salaam Venky is a total dud at the box office. The film, that hit the theatres on December 9, hardly saw an audience on Day 3. Salaam Venky is directed by Revathy and also stars Vishal Jethwa in the lead role.
The film saw a poor start at the box office, and could not earn good business. Salaam Venky touches upon the subject on euthanasia.
SALAAM VENKY BO COLLECTION
Salaam Venky features Kajol who plays a mother to a 24-year-old son who is suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The film has found no takers as it hardly earned anything on Sunday, December 11. Its single-day collection was just Rs 70 lakh on Day 3. Hence, the total collection now stands at a mere Rs 2 crore. Salaam Vdenky is receiving tough competition from other major releases, including Drishyam 2, Bhediya, and An Action Hero. However, the film is doing far better than the other two releases, Vadh and Marrich, at the box office.

Salaam Venky is bankrolled by Suraj Singh and Shraddha Agrawal. As far as the music is concerned, it is composed of Mithoon. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Rahul Bose. Aamir Khan has a special cameo in the film. Salaam Venky is based on the novel The Last Hurrah by Shrikant Murthy, the film touches upon the grave subject of euthanasia, which, in simple terms, means the act of deliberately ending a person’s life to end their suffering. It stars Kajol and Vishal Jethwa in lead roles.
