Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, November 27 – The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today said it was shocking that Faridkot Congress legislator Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon had hosted notorious Uttar Pradesh gangster Raja Bhaiya and even boasted about the same on social media.
In a statement here, former minister and party spokesman Maheshinder Singh Grewal said how could the Congress government be expected to maintain law and order and snub goonda elements if its legislators were themselves hosting gangsters. He said what was even more dangerous was that Kushaldeep was bragging about his links with goonda elements. “The only reason why the Faridkot mla would want to do this is to intimidate his political rivals”, he added.
Stating that the party would take up this issue in the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha session, the Akali leader requested chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh to take note of this incident and order an immediate inquiry into the same. He also asked the State police to verify why Raja Bhaiya had visited Punjab and whether any more gangsters from Uttar Pradesh had accompanied him on the visit. He said it should also be ascertained as to what kind of meetings Raja Bhaiya held in Faridkot and who all met him.
