IPL 2021 Live Score, Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal out to begin Royal Challengers Bangalore’s 150-run chase. Rajasthan Royals’ suffered a middle-order collapse after openers Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave the team a fantastic start. RR openers hammered added 77 runs for the opening wicket in 8.2 overs, before Jaiswal was dismissed by Dan Christian. Lewis carried on and completed his half century but he was undone by debutant George Garton for 58. After Lewis’ departure, RR lost Mahipal Lomror, Rahul Tewatia, Sanju Samson, and Liam Livingstone in quick succession with Yuzvendra Chahal and Shahbaz Ahmed picking two wickets each. Harshal Patel dismissed Riyan Parag, Chris Morris, and Chetan Sakariya in the final over as RR finished at 149/9 in 20 overs.

“Obviously wasn’t ideal (to lose to SRH). We have played some good cricket in the last couple of games, we haven’t just put the full game together yet, so hopefully we can get our batting and bowling right today and put in a good performance. With the position we are in, we don’t have a choice (of favourites grounds). The lads are playing some good cricket and hopefully a few of us can turn up.. And like I said get on a roll. He’s (Samson) a genius. I have been with RR for a couple of years now and to see what he does in training I don’t think you see that anywhere else in the world. I genuinely believe he’s the most talented player I have played with. He’s a very skilful boy, very relaxed and there’s not much carry-on about him. I just sometimes sit and admire him in the nets. Everybody is different, lot of the Indian boys enjoy hitting a lot of balls, personally I don’t like hitting too many. I just like to go game to game and trust the work I have put in pre-tournament. Desperate to see it (hitting sixes) myself. I have had a good couple of months. There’s no time to take a backward step now.”

Harshal Patel: Adaptation has always been a key part of my game, I adapt well to different situations and different conditions. That is something that I pride myself on. The grounds are bigger here and the wickets are slower, it suits my type of bowling. My mindset hasn’t changed, my role hasn’t changed. It was just a mental tweak to adapt to the conditions. More often than not you know what deliveries to be bowling in the death overs, execution is the key. At the top of my mark I am very sure of what I want to bowl. It’s easy to say not to look at the points table, it’s very tempting to look at it. At the end of the day, it doesn’t serve any purpose. The talk in the dressing room is to focus on the process and the brand of cricket we play. What we did in the last two games, we came out all guns blazing with the ball and with the bat as well. We’ll try to play the same brand, play consistently and hopefully we get the right result.
