Chandigarh, February 02
The Real Estate Authority, Punjab (RERA) has made it clear that the registration fee regarding open areas/common areas/ utlity areas which are part of the real estate project, particularly in case of project having mixed land use, would be levied at the rate applicable to the area that these were to service.
In a circular issued by the RERA, it has been further clarified that a given area purely within a residential part of a mixed use project would be charged at the residential rate. However, if the common area/utilities were to service entire project (covering all components thereof) and not a particular category of land use, the lowest rate applicable to the project would be applied.
