Chandigarh, Raninder Singh has been re-elected as president of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) for another four-year term.He defeated Shyam Singh Yadav, president, Uttar Pradesh Rifle Association, with an overwhelming 89-1 margin. The elections were held at the PCA Stadium premises in Mohali on Saturday.Singh assured the federation and the entire shooters fraternity that he will personally take up the matter of GST with the Ministry of Finance, via the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, in right earnest, as the 18 per cent tax levied on imports, including duty-free items might have an adverse impact on the sport, including athletes vying to bring glory to the country.Meanwhile, D V Seetharama Rao has been unanimously re-elected as secretary general for the second term while Karan Kumar has been elected as treasurer of the Association.
