Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, Punjab Dairy Minister Mr. Gulzar Singh Ranike today appealed the people of Punjab not to be scared of rumours being spread in the market about the swine flu. He said people should become active participants of awareness campaign being launched by Animal Husbandry and Health Department about the symptoms and reasons of this disease.
In an advisory issued here Mr. Ranike informed that neither eggs, milk, meat or the eatables made from these products nor pigs, broilers and other animals spread this disease in human beings. He said this was a seasonal flu, which spreads through H1N1 virus. The Minister said this disease transmitted from one person to another through air and climatic changes. He said the instructions issued by Health Department should be followed in true spirit to avoid the spread of this disease.
