Chandigarh, November 4: While Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, his Deputy Chief Minister son Sukhbir Singh Badal and other ministers and Akali leaders dare not enter the Bargari area, the epicenter of the recent upsurge in the state against sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi would reach Sarawan village in the area tomorrow morning and then walk down to Niamianwala about 15 kilometers away as part of his programme to meet the families of the two victims of the police firing at Behbal Kalan.
Gurjit Singh of Sarawan and Krishan Bhagwan Singh of Niamianwala were killed when the police opened fire on peaceful protesters staging dharna on the Kotkapura-Bathinda highway at Behbal Kalan against the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib at Bargari village.
Rahul would also go to Burj Jawahar Singhwala village near Bargari from where the Bir of Guru Granth Sahib was reported missing on June 1 which has not been traced so far.
Rahul is to sopend two days in the Bathinda area. He would also visit ssome other villages to meet the families of the farmers who have committed suicide.
He would be accompanied by state party chief Partap Singh Bajwa and former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh.
