SPECIALISTS BEING RECRUITED TO PERFORM SOCIAL AUDIT
Chandigarh July 3: The Punjab government has decided to set up Social Audit Cell in the office of Joint Development Commissioner to conduct the Social Audit of works being allocated under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Punjab Rural Development and Panchayat department said that the Social Audit unit would be headed by a professionally qualified Director with minimum 10 years of experience in social audit. The Director would be assisted by 4 social audit experts.
The person applying for the post of Director, should be a post graduate in any field and is to have experience in the conduct of social audit and as right based activist for not less than 10 years. He said that for the post of Social Audit Experts a candidate should be post- graduate in a Social Science disciple and must have a one year diploma in Computer applications. He/ She should not be a government official and is to be a reputed representative of civil society and would have significant experience of minimum three years in working on social audit and rights of the poor.
