Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh: Joining hands with the Union Government flagship ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’, the Punjab Government today finalised the name of 9 state ambassadors. Eminent environmentalist, social activist, sports persons and artist have been nominated as state ambassador
Disclosing this here today Mr. Anil Joshi, Minister for local Bodies, said that the names of Legendary Athlete Milkha Singh, Cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh, Environmentalist Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal, President of All India Pingalwara charitable society Bibi Inderjeet Kaur, Hockey Olypian Pargat Singh, Renowned Singer and Actor Gurdas Mann and famous TV Artist and Comedian Kapil Sharma have been finalised.
Mr. Joshi said that the Union Government has sought names of prominent personalities of Punjab to depute them as State Ambassador for ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’. He said that the names have been forwarded to Ministry of Urban Development for further necessary action.
