Chandigarh, The Punjab Government has invited applications from eligible Scheduled Class students for one year P.G.D.C.A (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application) and four months Certificate Course (Certificate Course in computer operation and application) free of cost at various Cal-C centres in the State. Applicant’s total family annual income should be up to 3 lacs.
Divulging the details, Mr. Gulzar Singh Ranike, Welfare Minister said that for both the courses total 1500 students from across the state would get free computer education. He said that total 25 Cal-C centres in 12 districts would provide free education. He said that in this era of information technology it would be imperative to make these students professional by imparting computer education.
Giving the detail about admission process, a spokesman of Welfare Department said that eligibility for P.G.D.C.A. and certificate course is Graduation and Matriculation respectively. Eligible candidates can submit their applications till October 27, 2014 in respective Cal-C centres.
He said that these courses would be impart in Khanna, Jandiala Guru, Verka, Faridkot, Amloh, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Zira, Ghall Khurd, Hoshiarpur, Tanda, Mukerian, Gharshankar, Talwara, Mahilpur, Jalandhar East, Rurka Kalan, Adampur, Phillaur, Phagwara, Mukatsar, Nawanshehar, Banga and Bamiaal (Pathankot).
