PUNJAB EXTENDS TIME LIMIT TO REGISTER CONVEYANCE DEEDS ON ALLOTMENT RATES FOR TWO MONTHS
Chandigarh, July 10: The Punjab government has extended the time frame for two months for all those allottees’ of immoveable properties (plots/houses etc) by the government or a public sector undertaking or local bodies to get their conveyance deeds registered at rates mentioned in their allotment letters. It may be mentioned here that number of such allottees’ have already taken benefit of this decision and keeping in view the demand for extending this concession, this decision has been taken. Earlier, the allottees’ were required to get conveyance deed executed on collector rate that was linked to present market rate of property.
Disclosing this, Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia , Revenue Minister informed that after considering the demand of allotees’ a decision was taken by Punjab CM Mr. Parkash Sigh Badal and on his directions required notification in this regard had been issued by the state Revenue department. He said that this benefit was being extended at the time of execution of first conveyance deed of such property to all those allottees, who have taken the possession of their properties after depositing their all installments. He clarified that this concession has now been extended for two months i.e between 30th June to 28th August, 2015. He urged all such allotees to get registered first conveyance deed of their properties. It is also clarified that in case of any court case this concession would be considered from the time of court decision or direction.
