Punjab and Centre should jointly fight against drugs: Kamal Sharma

 

Sri Muktsar Sahib, State BJP chief Kamal Sharma today said that the state government and the centre government should jointly fight against drug menace in Punjab.

Addressing conference organized by Punjab Government on the occasion of Maghi fair in historical land of Muktsar Sahib, Sh.Sharma said that the fight against drug is a crusade in which apart from state and the central governments each and every section of society has to come forward. He said that eradicating drug is not only the duty of the governments or the police but the society in whole will have to fight against it.He thanked PM Modi for showing his concerns on narco terrorism in his radio programme “Mann Ki Baat”. He said Punjab being a border state need to deal with the matter very carefully.

Mr.Sharma described the state as sword arm of the country stressed on the need for having a healthy and strong Punjab as it would directly mean a ‘strong India’.

He stated that it was praiseworthy that Punjab Government has decided to dedicate 2015 for fighting drug menace, female feticide and development of agriculture.

“We have to start this fight from our own house and from the land of 40 Muktas, we must take oath and that we would leave no stone unturned in this fight,” said Sharma while exhorting the public to come forward over the cause.

Sh.Sharma also showered all praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government and said that in a span of just seven months, the government has got huge success in controlling inflation, showing India’s might in foreign countries and opening business gates for the overseas entrepreneurs.

The development oriented politics of the BJP has started yielding results as today entire Globe was looking at India by terming it the best country to have business and links.

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister S.Prakash Singh Badal & Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal also addressed the gathering.
