Punjab all set to start 2nd phase of Nakal Virodhi Abhiyan from October 17

Chandigarh, Education Department, Punjab is all set to start second phase of its awareness campaign against mass copying from October 17. Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema would formally inaugurate the campaign from Jalandhar during a zonal function.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the education department said that this ambitious campaign was started form Bathinda on August 28, 2013. He said that Teachers, Principals and Children from Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Jalandhar districts would take part in the inaugural function of ‘Nakal Virodhi Abhiyan’.
He said that this campaign is joint venture of Education Department and Punjab School Education Board. He said that under this campaign, essay writing, declamation contest, poem writing and recitation and mini marathon are being organised in each district of Punjab. He said that all schools from block level to Tehsil level are taking part in the competitions. He said that there would be total 7 zonal functions and all 22 districts would be covered in 7 zones. All the Prize winners from all 22 districts would be felicitated in zonal functions.
He said that the objective of this campaign is to generate awareness against mass copying. He said that approximately 1200 Principals and teachers would take part in the inaugural function. He said that the chairperson of the PSEB, Mrs. Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal would supervise the whole campaign whereas Deputy Director, SCERT , Shruti Shukla has been made the convener.
