Patiala, With the induction of 25 new buses into Pepsu Road Transport Corporation’s (PRTC) fleet at Faridkot tomorrow, the corporation has met its target of getting 250 new buses in six months. Moreover, against its sanctioned fleet of 1,075 buses, it will have 1,111.
After many years, the corporation has got the required number of buses in its fleet. With the addition of 250 new ordinary buses, the PRTC will be able to meet its daily expenses.
Meanwhile, in a boost to the PRTC, the Indian Oil Corporation has now decided to waive Rs 1.05 per litre on diesel purchased by the PRTC. This will help the corporation save Rs 2.9 crore annually.
