Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, The protest by the Hindu organisations in protest against Shiv Sena Secretary Harvinder Soni in Gurdaspur yesterday spread to other places today.
He was fired upon by one Kashmir Singh from Khanna area to avenge the 2012 incident in which Soni had burnt the turban of a Sikh protester in Gurdaspur. The Sikhorganisations then protesting against death sentence to Balwant Singh Rajoana had clashed with Shiv Sena activists.
Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal accompanied by Director General of Police S S Saini visited Soni in Amritsar hospital. He is out of danger.

In Amritsar, the activists of the Hindu Suraksha Samiti burnt effigy of the Chief Minister.
The activists of Hindu organisations took out a march in Phagwara.
