Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Ferozepur, Hundreds of people today took to streets here to protest against BJP chief Kamal Sharma for allegedly helping murder accused.
It may be mentioned that Amandeep Kaur of Dholewal village in Ferozepur was murdered in Mohali on January 12 last and some persons were arrested in this case. Father of the murdered woman Kulbir Singh today alleged that Sharma was protecting the accused at the time when his party had launched special campaign for girls. He said the police was under pressure to give a new twist to the murder to save one of the accused whose family was close to the BJP leader.
Sharma, however, while denying the charge, demanded independent probe in the case and action against the guilty.
