Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
CHANDIGARH, December 30: Gurpreet Singh GP, a prominent leader from the People’s Party of Punjab today joined the Congress in presence of the PCC president Capt Amarinder Singhand other senior leaders of the party.
GP had contested as a PPP candidate from Chamkaur Sahab in 2012 and polled over fourteen thousand votes. He said, he had talked to his supporters who wanted him to join theCongress under the leadership of Capt Amarinder.
He said, people of Punjab wanted to see Capt Amarinder as the Chief Minister once again as he had provided a clean and efficient government.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included CLP leader Charanjit Singh Channi, former CLP leader Sunil Jakhar, Kewal Singh Dhillon, Balbir Sidhu, Sukh Sarkaria, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Navtej Cheema, Gurkirat Singh Kotli and others.
